The Golden Promise is a great way for FIU to level the playing field for students and families who are at a major disadvantage when it comes to being able to afford the costs of a 4 year degree. In order to find out if you qualify for the Golden Promise, check the criteria below and complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than March 1st. The Golden Promise Criteria:The Golden Promise will provide grants to cover 30 credits per year, 120 credits (4 years) maximum for recipients who are:
• Registered for at least 12 hours each semester (15 hours recommended) • Complete 30 credit hours each year • Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 higher at the end of each term Award Criteria: • Be a first time in college freshman • Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident • Be a Florida resident • Complete a FASFA prior to enrollment at FIU • Have an EFC of 0

I qualified for the golden promise scholarship during 2017 academic year. A year after I wasn't qualified because I didn't complete 30 credits. since, I should complete 30 credits before this upcoming school year would I receive the golden promise scholarship?
